“We have had another lovely few days at Riverside, its beginning to feel like a second home. Today we have had a great view of the steam train, and several grouse, a convoy of at least 20 tractors and some lovely alpacas. We have thoroughly enjoyed relaxing looking out the window and have spotted several kingfishers, at least 10 red kites, cormorants, herons, bats, an owl ans a black cat with a mouse in its mouth for tea. “Our 2nd visit and hopefully many more to come. As always a warm welcome from Stephen and Cathy. Always helpful and friendly. As before equipped with everything needed. As with everyone else love the views and area and many walks available. Do try the ‘Spar’ at Threshfield especially the fabulous butchers and other additional traders but also the Neto in Grassington is very well stocked. Had fabulous meals out at Grassington House. Rozis (restaurant upstairs as well as take away)  and Sunday lunch at the Foresters. Walkers have fabulous bread, sandwiches, pies and cakes”.
