Activities in Grassington

The accomodation is within a few minutes walk of the cobbled square in the idyllic village of Grassington. This is an excellent base whether you want to relax and enjoy the river views, dine on the patio, go cycling or for walks. This is a bird watchers paradise with a multitude of birds visiting the garden and riverbank. Climbing, fishing, sailing and horse riding opportunities are also nearby. This means whatever your age, capability or interest there is something for you.

Everything is to hand. The village boasts an array of excellent pubs, restaurants, tearooms and cafes, with something to suit everyone’s tastes. The high quality shops, including a bakers, little supermarket, very friendly post office, local library and welcoming churches result in you not needing to leave the village at all if you don’t want to. Grassington hosts a Music and Arts Festival in late June, a 40′s weekend in the autumn and Dickensian weekends on the run up to Christmas, with a variety of local shows and events in the surrounding area throughout the year. However, if you want to go further afield Skipton with its market days and castle, Bolton Abbey with the ruins of the Priory and Pateley Bridge at the end of the Nidderdale Way are all within easy reach by car.
